Zipping up an express elevator to the 27th floor and stepping out onto ROOF, guests are greeted by a dynamic space showcasing Chicago’s captivating skyline. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows with a vaulted ceiling, the center space features three bars, a seven-foot tall double-sided fireplace, a wood-burning oven, grand piano and plenty of plush lounge chairs, sofas and double-sided settees accompanied by low tables. The modern ambiance, with a color palette of charcoal grey, black and ivory with touches of turquoise, is completed with the illumination of hundreds of sparkling lights above.

Step past the main bar, humming with mixologists creating handcrafted cocktails, and into the Living Room. Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, this is an ideal locale for semi-private soirees. Luxurious seating offers comfortable mingling, a state-of-the-art telescope is available for gazing at the stars (or spying on the city below), and when it’s time to dine, the best table in town awaits: a glass-enclosed table for eight situated on a plank extension, suspended 27 floors above the city.

Wander out onto the large patio to mingle at multiple, counter-height tables, enjoy dinner at the coveted circular corner booth, or snuggle up near a roaring fire pit and gaze at the stars.

ROOF’s Italian-inspired, small plates menu, artfully created by Executive Chef Todd Stein, invites guests to share and enjoy. ROOF also offers an eclectic selection of European wines and a gourmet cocktail program, featuring fresh squeezed juices and fruit and herbal infusions in a number of the drinks.
